Empower U on the road in ACT high-schools
After speaking on stage with the minister for education late last year Brent Williams was invited to run a series of Empower U seminars in high schools across the ACT. Last week he delivered presentations ranging from 2 hours to 15 hours across 7 high schools to over 1000 students. It was an amazing week for Tomorrows Youth seeing such incredible outcomes achieved over so many high schools in such a short period of time.
The events culminated in an intense camp based leadership retreat for various leaders who came together from 4 high schools. The day ended with one of the greatest board breaks ever facilitated. “To see so many young people so ‘present’ and ‘in state’ was truly overwhelming. It was such a privilege to present a program to young people so willing to learn and step out of their comfort zone. Credit to them, their teachers and parents. It gives me great confidence in our nations future when I see young people like this. I only hope that this is the spark that lights the flame in our high schools in terms of the need for this kind of work being performed in high schools on a regular basis. It MUST become a part of the school curriculum” said Brent.
There is still one more event scheduled for this week where over 150 students will be gathering from 3 high schools to attend an in school 2-day event with Brent. Exciting times ahead.
