Empower U arrives in Ballina
After 6 months of preparation and planning we have just finished the first ever Empower U program in Ballina. We had almost 50 participants attending and it was truly an amazing event. I was so thrilled to see the level of commitment shown by everyone from the start. The board break was once again one of the highlights with man participants breaking through some massive mental barriers that were holding them back in life.
Sunday proved to be even more emotional than Saturday with plenty of participants opening up about some of the struggles that have impacted their emotional state for years. Having said that the program is designed to empower young people with many tools and strategies that will enable them to work through and let go of a lot of the fears, doubts and disbeliefs that they are carrying.
The money and finance section of the program proved to be a huge hit with many participants maintaining their engagement throughout the session even when it got a bit heavy for them. It was a great reflection of their thirst for the knowledge and as a presenter that is all i could ever ask for.
With such amazing outcomes and breakthroughs seen over the weekend and the sheer excitement that paretns showed after they witnessed the outcomes in their children first hand we have scheduled one more before the end of the year in November. Here is what one participant had to say about the program.
“I learnt that there are many people that are going through very similar things to me and also that it’s OK to show your true self by dancing, crying and laughing. I learnt some pretty cool dance moves I learnt about leadership, courage and that it’s ok and possible to break through some of the negative things in your life and mind. I gained a new perspective on my life and the people in it. I gained knowledge on many things but also gained heaps of awesome friends. I liked learning about how to change your state of mind (being someone who can suffer anxiety) and… yea it was all really amazing. I loved watching others work through their fears. I really hope it runs so that he (Brent) comes back in the future when I understand more and need it again. Thank you for the amazing experience.- Claudia Campton”
Our next Empower U program is being held in Sydney in late September.
